An author and infectious disease physician exploring medicine, motherhood, and modern life.
I’m a writer, infectious disease doctor, obsessive reader, and a mother of two tween girls. After I won the Mark Twain Storytelling contest (Junior Edition) in Elmira, New York at age 11, I took a short thirty-year break to rest on my laurels before falling back in love with writing. Since then, I have immersed myself in writing classes and writing groups and have taught writing to medical students, physicians, and middle school students. I have spent the last six years writing a novel inspired by the stories swirling around me in my work and life.
In my medical life, I work for Galileo Health, a startup dedicated to new ways of providing high-quality primary care and write expert clinical guidelines with New York State Department of Health and Johns Hopkins. An expert in HIV, Hepatitis, and Covid, I’m skilled at bringing diverse voices to the table and working across teams to provide extraordinary care and novel solutions.
I currently divide my time between New York’s Hudson Valley and Provence, France.
